Sourcewell is a self-sustaining government organization providing cooperative purchasing solutions to over 50,000 active participating public agencies across the United States and Canada. With over 425 competitively awarded contracts, Sourcewell provides access to time saving cooperative contracts designed to meet state and local government procurement requirements.
Sourcewell recently partnered with Western Fire Chiefs Association (the founders of the FireRescue GPO) to assimilate the FireRescue GPO brand into the Sourcewell cooperative procurement program. Through this partnership, revenue from the program supports the International Association of Fire Chiefs, all its U.S. Divisions and state fire chiefs associations across the country.
Sourcewell has many fire service related contracts including fire apparatus, ambulances, firefighting equipment & personal protective equipment, communications, technology and many more.
In August of 2021 Sourcewell was recognized by the National Procurement Institute, Inc. for a sixth consecutive year with the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® award. Sourcewell was also the only organization in Minnesota to receive the award for three consecutive years.
Criteria throughout the AEP application measures qualities important to a successful procurement department. The AEP program encourages not only the development of excellence, but also the push for continued improvement.
