After several months of managing the transition into our nonprofit organization – FireShowsWest First Responders Training and Education Foundation – we are excited to announce that our FireShowsWest 2020 conference and expo will be held in Sparks, NV at the Nugget Casino Resort. Sparks is a sister city to Reno and, for those who have been with us over the years, you may remember that the Nugget was where we started out with our fire officer development seminars in the mid-1990’s. As one would say, “we’re returning to our roots.”
The dates for this year’s event will be Monday, September 28 through Thursday, October 1, 2020. During the next few weeks, our planning teams will begin selecting the course submissions and setting the focus of the conference. We look forward to working with our educational committee and conference partners as we put the sessions and events together.
The grand opening of the exhibit hall will be Tuesday, September 29 with a Kick-Off Mixer from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. On Wednesday, September 30, the exhibit hall hours will be 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. As we plan the schedule for the conference sessions, our goal is to provide several uninterrupted hours of free time so attendees can experience the exhibit hall and connect with the exhibitors. Additional information will be sent to our exhibitors in the next few days, as well as posted on the FireShowsWest website.
