In the 1970’s Ten-8 Fire and Safety, LLC first began with Don Bouwer and the creation of Don Bouwer Fire & Safety Equipment. Many have heard the beloved story of his first sale, a helmet strap that later turned into a sale of his first fire truck. He saw this as a testimony that if you take care of the little things for a customer, they will trust you with the big things. Don would say “God owns Ten-8,” and that created the commitment to serving customers with honesty and integrity.
In 1985 Ten-8 was founded and has since grown into being a major United States distributor of fire and emergency apparatus and equipment. Serving customers through five locations in Florida and three in Georgia, our knowledgeable staff of sales, service, and support personnel is comprised of over 150 employees and mobile technicians. For over 36 years, we have worked hard to improve our business and expand our customer base, continually investing in our personnel and facilities.

Ten-8 also works with OEM’s offering technicians a hands-on opportunity to train with industry experts.
In addition to supporting first responders through their customer service Ten-8 has also been a partner with the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) and the Florida Firefighters Safety and Health Collaborative (FFSHC). Ten-8 provides funding to FCSN and FFSHC as well as sponsors and promotes events that each puts on throughout communities.
