FIRE AND EMERGENCY MANUFACTURERS AND SERVICES ASSOCIATION

FireShowsWest

As one may surmise by its name, FireShowsWest is the only multiple-state fire service expo held in the western United States whose mission, as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is dedicated to maintaining the highest training standards in preparing the fire service for tomorrow’s challenges. Its attendees come from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and beyond.

FireShowsWest Conference and Expo has an outstanding reputation for providing the most current educational topics to fire, EMS, prevention, and hazmat personnel. It is held annually in the fall in the Reno, Nevada area and offers several days of hands-on training and classroom sessions, which is open to all personnel in fire and EMS, from entry-level to chief officers and emergency managers. Classroom session sizes offer a more intimate learning experience when compared to other larger events.

FireShowsWest’s exhibit floor showcases over 120 companies featuring the latest in apparatus, equipment, technology, and services for our industry. During the exhibit hours, FireShowsWest provides the attendees with many vendor networking and engagement opportunities for a more personal experience.

The FireShowsWest team of chief officers, training officers, highly respected industry professionals, and volunteers have been working together since 1997 delivering an outstanding program year after year.

The founder and president, Dayle Wellbrock, was the enthusiastic, driving force behind this west coast fire show and his love of training first responders was in his DNA until his passing in December 2020. For over 23 years, Dayle was a visionary in providing outstanding education and training to firefighters throughout the West coast. He loved the excitement of planning the event, especially the opening of the exhibit hall. Every year, he looked forward to welcoming everyone to the event and shaking hands with the exhibitors and attendees. In memory of Dayle’s contribution to FireShowsWest, the Dayle Wellbrock Scholarship Fund was established in 2021 and provides annual scholarship opportunities to attend the annual FireShowsWest Conference and Expo.

FireShowsWest is not owned or supported by any publication or outside exhibition management group. It is strictly a nonprofit corporation that supports the continuation of educational opportunities and skill enhancement for our first responders.
The FireShowsWest First Responders Training and Education Foundation is a Nevada corporation and a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Its main source of income is producing educational workshops and training conferences developed exclusively for the fire service. The Foundation in turn is proud to support local and regional non-profit organizations involved in supporting the health and safety of first responders and the training and continuing education of fire service personnel.
